On Thursday, April 10, 2025, a workshop was held with local elected officials and
representatives of national authorities, dedicated to presenting the main guidelines of the
Nouakchott Coastal Protection and Enhancement Project.
This workshop provided an opportunity to share the planned programming priorities of the
project\u2014protective measures against climate risks, resilient infrastructure, and the creation
of new urban spaces\u2014and to initiate a constructive dialogue around land tenure issues.
The discussions highlighted the importance of a collaborative approach to ensure the
project\u2019s sustainability and its strong territorial integration.
